She works with Balagymnastics’ competitive team and beginners classes.Mrs. Valeriya Neikova (Bala Gymnastics Head Coach) will help teach Munchkins Gymnastics and beginners classes during the 2018 season.Monthly tuition is $125 for 1 hour per week. Learn how to play chess from a Shining Knights chess coach!  Our coaches are professional instructors and have taught thousands of children to play chess.   Class time is evenly split between lesson and play.  Lessons range from learning the rules to advanced tournament strategies. Play time is structured to pair each student against an opponent of similar skill. All chess supplies provided.

Students investigate the properties of several crazy concoctions and make their own samples of bubbles, play dough, flub, and more. Apprentice Chemical Engineering: Mix it Up                                     Ages 8 – 12During the Chemical Engineering classes, students use the Engineering Design Process to design, create, test, and refine various mixtures and solutions with different chemical properties. Rhythmic gymnastics is a marvelous blend of traditional gymnastics, dance and ballet, with the use of apparatus such as ball, ribbon, clubs, rope, and hoop. This Olympic sport develops grace and beauty for young girls and challenges them to excel while making them skilled in ballet, dance, strength and coordination. About the CoachesMiss Yoanna Ivanova (Bala Gymnastics Coach) is a former National team member of AGG and rhythmic gymnast from Bulgaria. This educational class is for 7-12 grade students who have an interest in law enforcement or related forensic sciences. Students will learn general problem-solving skills and how physics, geometry, triangles and the Pythagorean theorem; simple algebraic math, sin/cosine problems relating to blood splatter and bullet trajectory, and other science disciplines that relate to solving a crime scene.  After the classroom portion of the lecture, student will identify process a mock murder crime scene by collecting evidence using the most up-to-date modern techniques and methodologies learned during the lecture portion of the class.  The class is designed to challenge all students while having fun solving the crime.

Send an astronaut to the moon and defend your moon base from space rocks. Learn how to use Scratch to create and program sprites, backdrops and basic scripts. Create a new program each day, leave with evidence of your wild space adventure, and be inspired to explore the universe of programming as a Space Pioneer.Weekend Workshops – App Electronic Game Design: Pizza Delivery     Ages 8 – 12Papa’s Pizzeria is the busiest it has ever been. In Electronic Game Design: Pizza Delivery, we will create our own version of a platform game that will require players to collect ingredients, make pizza and serve all of the hungry customers. We will use the Engineering Design Process to create a storyboard to outline the rules of play and characters for our game. Then, we will use Clickteam Fusion 2.5® to bring our storyboard to life with programming. By investigating natural process like erosion, animal adaptations, and plant growth; we discover ways that we as engineers can beinspired by the world around us to take on all sorts of challenges.Weekend Workshops – App Environmental Engineering                Ages 8 – 12During the Environmental Engineering classes, students use the Engineering Design Process to design, create, test, and refine basic solutions related to alternative energy and environmental issues. They learn principles behind crafting efficient wind-powered machines and discover how those machines can be used to help reduce the use of fossil fuels. They develop solutions to clean up an oil spill, synthesize their own rocket fuel, and investigate the secrets behind color pigmentation. Jr Industrial Engineering: Fun Factory                                                 Ages 4 – 7The Junior Industrial Engineering classes introduce our youngest engineers to fundamental concepts of simple machinery, cooperative building, and the assembly line process. Through open and focused exploration, students explore and construct simple machines and then use an assembly line process to produce a delicious treat! Apprentice Industrial Engineering: A-Line Production                       Ages 8 – 12During the Industrial Engineering classes, students use the Engineering Design Process to design, create, test, and refine efficient systems for production.
